Credentialing Software

The North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board is excited to announce that its new credentialing software platform, LearningBuilder, has officially launched!

The first step in accessing your profile is to create a password for your account by clicking here: https://ncsappb.learningbuilder.com/Public/Password/Forgot and entering the email address from which you received this email. Do not create an account unless you are truly a NEW user. If LearningBuilder cannot find your email address, then we have an old one on file for you and you must contact the Board to get it updated.

Once you have followed the instructions to set your password, you will be able to successfully log into LearningBuilder to view the status of your credential from here: https://ncsappb.learningbuilder.com

You can also access LearningBuilder directly from the Board’s website (www.ncsappb.org).

If you are already credentialed or have applied for a credential in the past using a paper application, please skip this next section.

APPLICANTS: If you are currently in the process of applying for a NCSAPPB credential, then the system may require you to identify who is providing clinical supervision to you during this application process.  Once you identify your supervisor, and your clinical supervisor verifies your supervision agreement, you can resubmit your application, giving access to the next steps in your credentialing process.  Please note that a LIVESCAN of your fingerprints is required as part of the registration process.  You are encouraged to contact your local law enforcement agency (sheriff’s department) to inquire about available times and any associated fees with obtaining the LIVESCAN.  Please remember that a photo ID, such as a driver’s license, is required at the time of the LIVESCAN.

CREDENTIALEES/RENEWING: If you are already NCSAPPB credentialed, then you will renew your credential via LearningBuilder.  Once you log into your account, you can immediately begin logging your training certificates by clicking “Learning Plans.”  This portal may be accessed throughout your credential cycle and is available to store electronic copies of your training certificates as you complete these hours.

This portal is also the place you will go to update any of your contact information in the My Account area here: http://ncsappb.learningbuilder.com/Profile/MyAccount

If you are a CSAC, or CCJP, you will also need to report any changes to your ongoing practice supervisor in LearningBuilder.

Please utilize this portal to its fullest extent to reap the most benefits.  You will need access to a scanner in order to make the most use of LearningBuilder.  You may also provide clear pictures of your documents, if you do not have access to a scanner.  NOTE: Beginning on January 1, 2014, NCSAPPB will no longer be accepting paper applications or renewals.

LearningBuilder is a powerful tool and will improve the efficiency of the Board’s operations, put you in control of your certification status, and allow you keep online records of your continuing education.

Contact the Board office with any questions or concerns regarding how to access your account after following the steps outlined above.

Thank you,

NCSAPPB
