alcoholism and other drug addictions near Lake Lure, NC is looking
for a professional to join our dedicated staff. This position
requires a BS or BA in a Human Services Field, credential as a
Certified Substance Abuse or Addictions Counselor or higher, and
five years experience in the chemical dependency field. The applicant
should have a strong background in case management during treatment,
and after clients complete the treatment program. The Continuum
of Care Case Manager communicates with family and referring professionals,
makes recommendations and referrals for extended care needs, creates
patient continuing care plans, and completes case management follow
up phone contacts post treatment. Additionally, they may manage
a caseload of 2-4 clients. They will maintain documentation commensurate
with accreditation standards and program policies, and work proficiently
in all 12 core functions of SA counseling with an emphasis in
the areas of: assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, and
didactic presentations.

Addiction Specialist (LCAS):
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s
or doctoral degree in the human services field and Licensed as
a LCAS, CSI, or CCS by the NCSAPPB governing board regulating
substance abuse professionals in accordance with North Carolina
General Statutes.
Functions:
To assist with and lead SAIOP and to provide comprehensive clinical
assessments and therapy services. The clinician would be responsible
for making recommendations for appropriate levels of care based
on ASAM criteria, conducting individual, family, and group therapy
and case management functions associated with SAIOP, and offering
consultation to other agency staff concerning consumers with substance
abuse diagnosis(add). These duties would be as follows: treatment
team meetings, clinical guidance to other direct care staff as
assigned, provide oversite and assessment recommendations in consumers
situations, and provides individual, group, and family therapy
as scheduled.
This LCAS position would either be a contractual position or
salaried depending on experience. Preference in hiring and pay
will be given to applicants with either the CSS or CSI credential.
